What to include on an invoice
A clear, complete invoice gets you paid faster. Make sure yours has each of these:
- The word "Invoice" and a unique invoice number
- Your business name, address and contact details
- Your client's name and billing details
- The issue date and a due date (e.g. Net 30)
- An itemized list: description, quantity and rate
- Subtotal, tax or VAT, any discount, and the total due
- Payment terms and how the client can pay
- Notes — a thank-you or a late-payment policy

- Its own sequential number (INV-0117), which the receipt will cite later.
- An issue date and the exact due date, not just "Net 15".

Click "Download PDF" to generate a clean PDF file. Depending on the page and browser, it downloads directly or opens in the built-in PDF viewer; the print dialog is only a fallback if generation fails.
